eConnect is pleased to announce the following new and/or improved features:
My Messages- August 2009
A new eConnect feature, "My Messages" went live on 8/17/09, and will help end any worries students might have about missing important e-mails from their college and Dallas County Community College District. When a message pertaining to registration dates/eligibility, registration/payment, academic standing, financial aid, add/drop classes, etc. is sent to the e-mail address listed in the student's official record, the same message will be sent to their eConnect account through "My Messages".
DCCCD Money Card Program - April 2009
DCCCD has partnered with Higher One, a financial services company, to process and distribute refunds and disbursements to all credit students through the new DCCCD Money Card program. In April 2009, Higher One will replace the current processing systems for refunds and disbursements, which have been handled through a combination of Chase Bank cards and ACH transactions.
If you are a credit student with the DCCCD, which includes credit students who are also DCCCD employees or taking a CE class, you are eligible to receive a DCCCD Money Card. To ensure that you receive your card, you are required to verify your contact information on eConnect. For security reasons, you will also be required to answer your Challenge Question each time you access this screen.
After you verify your information, your card will arrive in the mail within 5-7 business days. If your card does not arrive within this time, you can use the Where's My Card screen to check on the status. You will be required to provide your last name, Student ID, and "activation word". If you are unable to use this screen or have other questions regarding your card, please contact Higher One.
When your card arrives, activate it immediately and set your preference for how you would like to receive your disbursement/refund money owed to you by the DCCCD. Even if you have received a refund in the past, you are required to use the card to select your disbursement/refund preference.
