  Question
An award is posted on eConnect, so when will my tuition be paid?
  Answer

To see if you have an outstanding balance on your student account, access "Tuition Account Summary" under "My Financial Information" on eConnect. If you have a financial aid award prior to the start of the semester or summer term, tuition and fees will be deducted from your award approximately 10 days before the first day of classes. Although financial aid will not pay your tuition any earlier than ten days before classes begin, you will not be dropped for failure to pay on or before your tuition due date if a financial aid award has posted to your student file.

To confirm that your award has posted, access the eConnect Student Menu and log in to the "My Financial Information" section. After tuition and fees, if there are no blocks on your student record, an initial amount not to exceed $700 will be distributed to you for the purchase of books and supplies. The remaining funds, if eligible for release, will be disbursed after the financial aid lock date.

All disbursements/refunds to credit students from the DCCCD are made electronically through the DCCCD Money Card program. To avoid delays in receiving your money, verify your contact information on eConnect (login required) and set up an activation word. After you verify your information, you can expect your card to arrive in the mail within 5-7 business days. As soon as you receive your card, use it to access the DCCCD Money Card Web site and activate your disbursement/refund preference.

For more information about the card, please go to http://www.dcccdmoneycard.com
