The total amount shown on your award letter or posted on eConnect is based on full-time enrollment (12 credit hours). If you are not enrolled as a full-time student with 12 or more credit hours on financial aid lock date, some of your awards including PELL may be prorated according to your enrollment level. Some students are not eligible for PELL if they are enrolled in less than six credit hours. A detailed explanation of how the PELL amount is prorated for part-time students is given on the FA Award Letter information pages.
Not all awards are prorated, but all awards do require a minimum enrollment level, and the minimum is not the same for all awards. For information about the requirements or your eligibility for a specific award, contact the Financial Aid Office at the college you plan to attend. You also need to check your remaining available hours and make sure that you have not run out of financial aid eligibility. To check your remaining available hours, log in to your eConnect account and visit the "My Financial Aid Status" option. Note: You must activate your financial aid award before aid can be paid to your account. To activate your award, log in to eConnect, read the information included within the award notification and mark that you agree with all the requirements of the award. |
