  Notification of financial aid award
  Question
How will I know if I have a financial aid award?
  Answer

You will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) in the U.S. mail or an e-mail notification from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Central Processor after you have submitted your FAFSA application.  After the Financial Aid Office completes the processing of your application, you will be able to view your FA Award Letter (requires login) on the eConnect Student Menu.

If you don't see an award posted and it has been four weeks since you received your Student Aid Report, contact the Financial Aid Office at the school you plan to attend to request an application status. Also, watch your e-mail and U.S. mail for notifications from DCCCD about your financial aid status or award.

VERY IMPORTANT: Once you have been notified by DCCCD that your award(s) have been posted on eConnect, you must ACTIVATE your award(s) before any money can be paid to your account.

To activate your award, read the information included within the award notification and mark that you agree with all the requirements of the award. After you have agreed to the requirements, your award will be activated and you will be allowed to view the amounts.
